Guess what we did last week?! We went to Colorado! Ah yes, I planned a [somewhat] spontaneous trip out there to visit family, and invited Kristin to come along. Seeing as she loves to snowboard with her dad and had childhood dreams of becoming a backcountry snowboard guide, I knew she wouldn't be let down by the monstrous mountains in Summit County.

We had loads of fun visiting my friends and family, snowboarding our faces off, and setting up my brother and sister-in-law's newly finished basement. Here's a little video displaying the highlights of the trip.
Things we learned about each other on this trip:
- We both did Teen Mania mission trips as teenagers (Kristin to Alaska, and I to Trinidad and later to The Dominican Republic). Not only that, but we were most likely in Texas at their training weekend AT THE SAME TIME! What?! We probably walked right past each other! It's like our friendship was meant to be.
- We both love the soundtrack to The Last of the Mohicans (like, no joke we can hum the main score).
- At the end of the day, we both really appreciate a good meal and a good beer (thank you Kristin for opening my palate up to the latter).
- We both totally dig our new slogan that my sister-in-law created for us: "PEC Yeah!"
All in all it was a great trip. We were literally attached at the hip every waking moment with no complaints. I especially loved getting some quality time in with my nephew Connor. He's 1. And Amazing.

We made a FAQ page for all you inquisitive folks (you know who you are):
Aaaaaand Bonnie from Going Home to Roost was kind enough to answer some of our questions about growing a blog. She answered these questions in the form of a blog post, meaning that we were sort of featured on her blog (which is totally awesome).
Happy Monday! PEC Yeah!
